Giulio De Gennaro (born on December 19, 1980, in Rome) is an Italian painter, musician, and journalist.
After completing his classical high school education at the Lucrezio Caro Gymnasium Lyceum in Rome, he enrolled in the Faculty of Political Science at La Sapienza University of Rome (where he graduated in Military History) while simultaneously starting work as a cameraman for H24 company.
In 2004, he was hired by Mediaset, joining the Tg5 news program as a journalist, eventually becoming a special correspondent for the same news outlet. In 2015, he moved to Tgcom24 as a commentator, later becoming a presenter and ultimately overseeing the late-night edition of the newscast.
As a self-taught musician, in 2014, he released an album published by Lucky Planets titled "Che Bella Eredità," featuring historical songs of his friend Massimo Bizzarri. Previously, together with Guido Carotenuto and the comedian Francesco De Carlo, he co-founded the satirical-musical group "Komic Blues," producing several successful tracks broadcasted on major national television networks.
As a painter, he initially exhibited at private galleries and selected events. In 2019, he created a collective artwork involving patrons at the Nuvola di Fuksas in Rome. In 2020, he had his first solo exhibition in Casacalenda, promoted by Molise Cinema and curated by the artist Baldo Diodato. In 2021, he produced 42 illustrative panels of Dante's Inferno, one of which was selected by the "Cento Pittori Via Margutta" Association. In 2023, he presented a collection of "point matrix portraits" at the Centro Studi Americani in Rome on Via Michelangelo Caetani.
